Whether it's Confirmation and Youth Forum, or Youth Fellowship and
Mission Trips, Union Congregational United Church of Christ (UCC) is
committed to developing the talents and gifts of our youth. We tell
them, "YOU BELONG!" and mean it! Look at all we do under the
leadership of our
dedicated Youth Board and other youth leaders:
Our Mission
The Youth Board, following Jesus Christ’s Great Commandment, “to love God with
all our heart, soul, strength, and mind and our neighbor as our self” will guide,
direct and support the Youth Ministry of Union Church. We will work toward making
Union Congregational UCC a welcoming and nurturing place for the youth of our
community and to plan and provide opportunities for learning, service, and fellowship.
Confirmation
The first half of this years' Confirmation program has ended and we
are anticipating a second half full of new opportunities! Kirk
Atkinson is leading the group, bringing his enthusiasm and positive
energy. The primary goal for the rest of this year is to nurture an
understanding of who we are as Human Beings, as Christians and as
members of the United Church of Christ. We will continue
to meet on Wednesdays 7:00-8:30 PM starting January 9th -April 23rd
for a total of 14 sessions. Friends in Faith will be invited
to join the group on January 9, February 20, March 19 and April 13.
Please mark your calendar with these important dates. We are
looking forward to a new year together to ask and explore!

Our Whole Lives
O.W.L. stands for Our Whole
Lives sexuality class. For youngsters, the curriculum focuses
on helping children AND their families comfortably talk about human
sexuality in age-appropriate ways. Our children learn about
self esteem, what is safe and unsafe touch, how to tell their
parents about difficulties with sexuality, and all those topics on
sexuality which will help them appropriately develop their own Whole
and Holy lives. If you've always felt that talking about
sexuality with your child was important, yet find it difficult, Our
Whole Lives will be a true gift to you and your family!
